As food poverty dominated the headlines during the pandemic, people rallied locally to help local charities and groups offering help. Letchworth Foodbank was no exception.

We recently hosted a two-day Garden Cities Congress in partnership with the Gascoyne Cecil Estate at Hatfield House and the University of Hertfordshire.

The Foundation hosted the annual Garden City Meeting last week, welcoming over 150 residents of the town to the Broadway Hotel, chaired by Chair of the Board of Trustees, Gareth Hawkins.

We've granted £15,000 over the next two years to drug & alcohol treatment service, Resolve, to ensure they can deliver their programme of services for the residents in Letchworth.

We've awarded £5000 to Letchworth Eagles Football Club to build a new stand looking out onto the first team pitch.

The Foundation is working with local groups and schools to plant 70 trees across Letchworth to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee.

The first grants meeting of this year was held in March - £11K was awarded to groups in Letchworth, plus £2K for our Jubilee Grants.
