About Us

We manage our assets and investments to generate income that enables us to care for the Garden City estate and support our local community, providing access to green spaces and a range of culture, heritage, learning and leisure facilities. We fund and support local organisations working to improve everyone’s quality of life and meet our charitable objectives.

2028 is the 125th Anniversary of Letchworth Garden City

We have launched Strategy 2028 which outlines how we will work towards achieving our vision, that living in Letchworth Garden City offers everyone the opportunity to flourish as part of a vibrant community; enjoying the best that both town and country offers, benefitting from easy access to nature and with unrivalled facilities, culture and support networks.

We will achieve this by focussing on six key strategic aims.  You can read about these in Strategy 2028.

Grants & Funding

We had a successful 2023, making grants to a large number of worthy local organisations.  You can read more about our recent grants at https://www.letchworth.com/news-media.

We hope the broad range and remit of the grant programme will enable as many community groups as possible to be supported across 2024, to:

  • sustain activities and income across 2024
  • build on activities undertaken in 2023
  • support an emerging or growing need
