Chris Hinchcliff visits Standalone Farm in Letchworth Garden City for English Tourism Week 2025

Last week was English Tourism Week 2025 – a national celebration which highlights the importance of the tourism industry to local communities and economies. To mark the occasion, Chris Hinchcliff, MP for North East Hertfordshire, visited Standalone Farm to find out about the attraction and the impact it had on the visitor economy.

Mick Johal Awarded Grass Roots Excellence Award by High Sheriff Annie Brewster JP

Mick Johal, a Governor of the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, has been presented with the prestigious Grass Roots Excellence Award by High Sheriff, Annie Brewster JP, at a ceremony held at Emil Dale Academy on 12th February. The award was given in recognition of Mick’s outstanding contribution to grassroots sports particularly in providing young people with opportunities to engage in rugby and other sports.

Empowering Visually Impaired Individuals through Community Grant

Herts Vision Loss (HVL), previously known as the Hertfordshire Society for the Blind, has been an essential support system for visually impaired individuals (VIPs) in Hertfordshire since its inception in 1915. HVL remains dedicated to its mission of empowering VIPs to lead happy, functional, and fulfilling lives. This case study explores the impact of HVL’s initiatives, particularly the 'Visionary Bonds' project, supported by a Community Grant from the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.
