Letchworth Garden Shed - Empowering Communities through Sustainable Borrowing and Repairing

Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, committed to promoting sustainable community initiatives, is proud to highlight the success and impact of one of its grant recipients, Letchworth Garden Shed (LGS). Established in 2022 with a grant of £25,900, LGS offers a pioneering model for borrowing equipment, fostering a culture of repair and reuse, and strengthening community bonds in Letchworth and surrounding areas.

Empowering Visually Impaired Individuals through Community Grant

Herts Vision Loss (HVL), previously known as the Hertfordshire Society for the Blind, has been an essential support system for visually impaired individuals (VIPs) in Hertfordshire since its inception in 1915. HVL remains dedicated to its mission of empowering VIPs to lead happy, functional, and fulfilling lives. This case study explores the impact of HVL’s initiatives, particularly the 'Visionary Bonds' project, supported by a Community Grant from the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.

The Power of Your Story!

On Tuesday 21st May over 120 community members gathered at the Broadway Hotel, Letchworth for the second annual All About Us, North Herts Community Conference. This event brought together the volunteer sector to share ideas, be inspired, and strengthen partnerships.

News from the Grants Committee

The Grants Committee of Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation met in December to discuss the latest applications received for funding.
