Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation has granted Mediation Hertfordshire £5,000 to help reach out to more groups and people about their services.
The group was founded in 1998 and was set up to support people experiencing conflict in the community. Since then, they have been able to expand their work to schools, families, and workplaces. They can offer an independent and impartial lifeline to those experiencing conflict. The charity has many years of experience in its field and had an 80% success rate in the 2021/22 period. Mediation Hertfordshire recently won ‘Mediation Provider of the Year’ from the National Mediation Awards, during a ceremony which took place at the Houses of Parliament.
Operations Manager for Mediation Hertfordshire said “We are hugely grateful to the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation for the grant funding which has enabled us to support residents of Letchworth Garden City with our mediation and conflict coaching service. With this funding, we can help people live happier, and healthier lives by helping to resolve conflict that exists between neighbours, in the family, the workplace and the wider community.
“Our team of over 50 fully trained volunteer mediators come from a wide-ranging background. They help us to deliver a professional, skilled mediation service all year round. We also provide bespoke mediation training programmes to partners, schools, universities, and other client-facing organisations.”
