What’s new?
Business grants available via North Herts District Council (NHDC)
NHDC has updated its website with the latest information on business support grants along with a link to the application form.
It looks like details around discretionary grants are still being firmed up, so it’s best to keep an eye on social media and on the council’s website for further announcements.
Top-up to local business grant funds scheme
Last weekend, the government announced a new discretionary fund to support certain small businesses previously outside the scope of the business grant funds scheme. This is aimed at small businesses with ongoing fixed property-related costs.
Bounce Back Loans from £2,000 now available
Launched at the end of April, these new Bounce Back Loans have been set up to help small and medium-sized businesses affected by COVID-19. Loans are available from £2,000 up to £50,000. The good news is that the government guarantees 100% of the loan and there won’t be any fees or interest to pay for the first 12 months. Plus, the paperwork has been simplified to make it easier for those applying.
