West End star Cassidy Janson, known for her roles in Wicked, Avenue Q and Dessa Rose, is set to perform at the Broadway Theatre on 28 May as the guest singer for leading swing, jive and skiffle group, The Jive Aces.
Janson joins the band for the special concert in Letchworth in between performances in the West End production of Beautiful, in which she plays the lead role of Carole King.
Sue Scott Davison, Creative Programmer for the Broadway Theatre said: “I’m very excited to bring someone of the calibre of Cassidy to Letchworth. She has such an impressive West End pedigree and a stunning voice to go with it, I’m confident she and the Jive Aces will deliver an excellent show.”
The Jive Aces, renowned worldwide for their high-energy music and spectacular stage show, rose to national attention following their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent as the first live band to reach the semi-finals of the show.
Since then, the band have continued to go from strength to strength, performing at iconic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace as well as gracing stages in 40 countries across the world, including major theatre tours in the USA.
