The Heritage Foundation has received planning permission to transform the former North Herts College at the Goldsmith Centre into its new offices and community hub. The building will now undergo significant improvement and modification. Teaching spaces will be transformed into offices, meeting rooms and community spaces, bringing together many of the Foundation’s services under one roof.
Graham Fisher, Chief Executive of the Foundation, said: “This is an exciting opportunity as it will mean the Foundation will be back in the town centre, making it easier for the community to reach us. We will be closer to many of our venues and services, including the Broadway Cinema, Theatre and Gallery, and the Community Museum. It will also boost the local economy by bringing more people into the centre of town.”
Although the Foundation owns the freehold to the Goldsmith building, we are buying the lease from North Herts College, who vacated the building last year.
We will move from our current office on Icknield Way, which has been a base for many of our staff since 2011
