Letchworth Jazz Appreciation Society: Today, Thursday. Clyde Watson presents a programme entitled ‘Universally Challenged’. Flower Festival – The Arts: Friday, September 22 to Sunday, September 24.Letchworth Parish of St Michael the Archangel and St Mary the Virgin will be holding a flower festival with all proceeds going towards the roof repairs. Includes refreshments in the Parish Hall. At St Michael’s Church, Broadway. Friday and Saturday 10am – 4pm, Sunday 12pm – 4pm. Admission free.
The Garden City Postcard Project Exhibition: Friday, September 22 to Sunday, November 5. What symbolises the world’s first Garden City? What are our favourite places and buildings? How do we choose to portray Letchworth? View the display of postcards dating across the history of Letchworth, in an exhibition that seeks to consider these questions. Apple Pressing: Saturday, September 23. Transition Town Letchworth’s annual apple pressing service is free but donations to costs are welcome. Please bring your own apples and containers for the juice. In Garden Square. From 9am – 12pm.
Greenway Day: Saturday, September 23. Explore where town and country meet. Walk, run or cycle one of three short routes around the Greenway. Take part between 10am – 2.30pm. Starting points – Route A - Standalone Farm SG6 4JN, Route B - The Grange Rec. SG6 4PN, Route C – North Herts Leisure Centre SG6 2ER.
