We recently awarded talented roller hockey player Luca Oakely (12) a grant to enable him to travel and compete in the Euroockey Competition in Spain.
The competition took place over four days at the end of October and was invaluable to Luca’s development as a player.
Mum Aline commented: “It was an amazing experience and Luca had the opportunity to play against and watch the top European teams. He was inspired by the skill, determination and passion of all the teams involved. We are very grateful to the Heritage Foundation for the financial support that gave him the opportunity to experience his sport at this level.”
A talented player, Luca plays with Letchworth roller hockey club in the Under 15 and Under 13 teams. He is also a member of the England Development Squad Under 13 and Under 15 teams and has recently moved up to the highest level at England National Training (Level 5).
