Forty Plus Cycling Club: Today, Thursday. A small friendly group that generally meet and ride to a pub, café or tearoom for lunch. This week’s ride is to St Paul’s Warden, with lunch at The Strathmore Arms (including Garden City Wheelers). Next week’s ride is to Pullox Hill, with lunch at The Cross Keys. Meet at 10.30am. Christmas Carols in The Wynd: Today, Thursday. Christmas Music from the Letchworth City Chorus from 5pm followed by Carol singing at 6.30pm until 7.45pm with a special appearance by Santa. In aid of charities including Cancer Research and Societi (The UK Kawasaki Disease Foundation).
Festive Fun Day: Friday, December 22. A fun day at The Arts and Crafts Christmas Exhibition in The Arcade. Includes a craft session with local artist Chantelle Stephenson to decorate your own festively themed ceramic mug, gift bag and tag, to create a great Christmas present (Suitable for children & adults). Plus face painting and a chance to make your own magical reindeer food. All activities are free, but a donation to Hertfordshire MIND would be welcome. At The Arcade, between 11am and 3pm.
Fun in The Arcade: Saturday, December 23. Miss Jones will be singing 1pm-4pm, free Balloon Twisting 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm. Facepainting and Glitter Tattoos between 10am 4pm and The Garden City Band performing Christmas Carols and Songs 11am-12pm.
Meet Santa’s Reindeer: Saturday, December 23.In Leys Square between 10am and 4pm.
Letchworth Morris Men: Tuesday, December 26. Letchworth Morris Men will be dancing in Willian Village on Boxing Day. They will be at The Fox at 12.30pm and The Three Horseshoes at 1.30pm. LALG Group - Early Morning Walk: Wednesday, December 27. Meet at Letchworth’s first roundabout on Broadway at 7am returning at about 8.30am. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Dick Whittington and his Cat: Wednesday, December 27 to Saturday, December 30. SPADS presents their spectacular annual pantomime. Entertainment for the whole family not to be missed. Gordon House – Paint to Print: On now until Sunday, January 28. Gordon House (1932-2004) was an influential artist and graphic designer who was brought up in Letchworth Garden City.
