Letchworth Festival 2018: Saturday, June 16. Today celebrates the start of this year’s Letchworth Festival and there are many events happening across the town over the coming week, some of which are listed below. Pop up Café: Saturday, June 16. Letchworth Ladies Circle invites you to join them at their Pop up Café. At Garden House Hospice Shop, Eastcheap. From 10am – 3pm.
Electric Motor Show: Saturday, June 16. A motor show with a difference – find out about developments in electric/hybrid vehicles and the environmental benefit of switching. Broadway Gardens. 10am - 4pm.
Letchworth and District Astronomical Society: Saturday, June 16. A safe way to look at the sun. In Leys Square 12pm - 4pm.

Historic Guided Walking Tour: Saturday, June 16. Join one of Letchworth's Town Historians on a pleasant stroll through some of the highlights of the first Garden City's history. Meet at Spirella Building, Bridge Road. Starts 10.30am. Free parking available, accessible off Icknield Way. Artists Studios Open Day: Saturday, June 16. See the work of fine artists, ceramicists, textile designers, jewellers, photographers and a taxidermist, all fellows of the Digswell Arts Trust. At the Fenners Building, 7 Openshaw Way, from 10am to 4pm. There will also be a mini exhibition of work in the gallery space on the ground floor. Digswell Arts is an innovative charity celebrating over 60 years of providing studio space for emerging artists in Hertfordshire.

Open Gardens: Sunday, June 17. Twenty-five local properties will open their gardens to the public. All funds raised to go to British Red Cross and Garden House Hospice. From 11am to 5pm. Free Park & Ride at Spirella, mini buses approx. every 30 mins calling at the 25 gardens. Tickets will cost £6 in advance available at the Local & Tourist Information Centre, 33-35 Station Road and David’s Books Shop, Eastcheap or £7 on the day, children free.
The Pasadena Roof Orchestra: Sunday, June 17. Formed 50 years ago and is still going strong. An evening of pure joy for those who love Swing, 20’s and 30’s music. At Broadway Theatre, Eastcheap.
